Passenger plane crashes in Brazil’s Sao Paulo state

SAO PAULO, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) — A plane with 62 people on board, 58 passengers and four crew members, crashed Friday in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo, reported the news network GloboNews, citing airport and airline sources.
The plane of the Brazilian regional airline Voepass was traveling from the city of Cascavel in the southern state of Parana to Guarulhos International Airport in Sao Paulo.
The aircraft fell on houses in the neighborhood of Capela de Vinhedo. The number of casualties is unknown.
The aircraft belongs to the company Voepass Linhas Aereas with a capacity to carry 68 passengers, according to the airline. ■
